VYROX POS Printer Connector Setup

The VYROX POS Printer Connector lets a VYROX web app such as Snooker King print receipts directly to an ESC/POS thermal receipt printer attached to the counter computer, with no print dialog. It is used by front-desk and cashier computers that run the app in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave or Chromium on Windows or macOS.

How It Works

The connector has two parts, and you need both on the same computer that the printer is connected to (or can reach on the network):

Nothing runs in the background after a restart. The browser starts the connector only when a receipt is sent.

Before You Start

  • Windows 10 or 11, or a Mac, with Chrome, Edge, Brave or Chromium.
  • An ESC/POS thermal receipt printer, 80mm or 58mm paper, powered on and loaded with paper.
  • For USB: the printer plugged in. For Bluetooth: the printer paired in the operating system first. For network: the printer's address on your local network.
  • The connector download from VYROX support.
  • On Windows, an account that can run programs as Administrator.

Step 1: Install the Connector Program

On Windows

  1. Copy the downloaded connector folder to a permanent place, such as your Documents folder.
  2. Right-click the connector program and choose Run as Administrator. If Windows blocks the file, right-click it, choose Properties, tick Unblock, press OK and try again.
  3. At Setup Mode, choose [1] Auto-Detect Printer (Recommended). Choose [2] Manual Setup if auto-detect does not find your printer.
  4. Pick the printer and the paper width, 80mm or 58mm.
  5. When asked, allow a Verification Print. A test receipt should come out.

The first run also registers the connector with your browsers automatically.

On macOS

  1. Copy the connector folder to a permanent place.
  2. Open Terminal from Applications > Utilities.
  3. Type ''bash '' followed by a space, drag the connector script into the Terminal window, and press Return.
  4. Answer the setup prompts: connection type (1 USB printer, 2 Serial or Bluetooth, 3 Network printer), then paper size (1 80mm, 2 58mm).
  5. For USB, pick your printer from the list. For network, type the printer's address and press Return to accept the default port.
  6. Say yes to the test receipt.
  7. Fully quit and reopen Chrome so it loads the connector.

Step 2: Install the Chrome Extension

The extension is not on the Chrome Web Store, so you load it once per browser profile.

  1. Unzip the extension download to a permanent folder.
  2. In Chrome, go to ''chrome://extensions''. In Edge use ''edge://extensions'', in Brave ''brave://extensions''.
  3. Turn on Developer Mode (top-right toggle).
  4. Press Load Unpacked and choose the unzipped extension folder.
  5. Check that the VYROX POS Printer Connector card appears and is enabled.
  1. Click the extension icon in the browser toolbar to open its popup.
  2. Check Native Host, Printer and Last Print. Native Host should show the connector as found, and Printer should show your saved printer.

Step 4: Print From the App

  1. Open your VYROX app in the same browser, for example Snooker King at snookerking.com/app.
  2. Print a receipt, for example by settling a bill.
  3. The receipt should print within a couple of seconds.

Change the Printer Later

If you replace the printer or move it to another connection, run the connector program again (no options) and complete setup for the new printer. You do not need to reinstall the extension.

Do I Need to Start the Connector Every Morning?

No. The browser starts the connector itself each time a receipt is sent. Nothing needs to be started after a restart.
