Creating and Managing Plans
A plan in PlanTask88 is a schedule for one date that lists the projects (sites) to visit and, for each project, the system types and task types of work expected there. Every task must be started from a plan, so plans are the first thing technicians and supervisors set up each day.
Before You Start
- At least one project must exist in Settings > Projects. See Projects, System Types and Task Types.
- System types and task types are optional, but an admin should set them up so work is classified consistently.
- Employees see only the plans they created themselves. Admins see every plan. A technician who will start tasks from a plan should normally create that plan in their own account.
The Plans Tab
Plans are grouped under date headings such as Today · Sat, 2026 May 23, Yesterday, or a weekday name for the past week.
| Filter | Shows |
|---|---|
| Today | Plans scheduled for today. The small number on the chip is today's plan count. |
| Upcoming | Plans for future dates, soonest first. |
| Past | Plans for earlier dates, newest first. |
Each plan card shows its date, Created by, the remark, each project with its system type and task type chips, a map pin when the project has coordinates, and a Start Task button. Tap the card anywhere else to open the plan's detail page.
Create a Plan
- Open Plans and press New Plan at the bottom.
- Set the Scheduled date. It defaults to today.
- Under Projects, tap Select project… and pick a site from the searchable list. You can type part of the name or address in Search…
- Under System types, tick the systems involved at this project (for example CCTV or Access Control), if any.
- Under Task types, tick the kinds of work expected (for example Maintenance or Installation).
- To add another site to the same plan, press Add project and repeat. Press the cross on a project block to remove it.
- Optionally type a Remark, such as the customer contact or special instructions.
- Press Create Plan. PlanTask88 shows "Saved".

Frequently Asked Questions
Why Can't My Technician See the Plan I Created?
Employees only see plans they created themselves. Ask the technician to create the plan in their own account, or have an admin start and manage tasks centrally.
Can One Plan Cover Several Sites?
Yes. Press Add project for each site. When starting a task the technician picks which project they are at.
What If No Projects Show in the List?
The message "No projects defined yet. Add one in Settings → Projects." means the project list is empty. Add a project first.
Can I Reuse a Plan for Another Day?
Edit the plan and change the Scheduled date, or create a new plan for the new day so each day's history stays separate.
