Card Scanning and Table History
Card scanning in Snooker King lets front-desk staff start or open a snooker, pool or F&B table by tapping an RFID card, scanning a barcode or showing a QR code to the camera, instead of hunting for the table on screen. Table History in Snooker King shows every session, invoice, official receipt and slip recorded for one table, with date, employee and payment filters. Both are used daily by counter staff, and by managers who need to check what happened on a table.
Before You Start
- Card scanning is switched on per centre in Settings > System under Hardware Peripherals. You need access to the Settings window to change it.
- For card and barcode scanning you need a keyboard-wedge reader (an RFID reader or barcode scanner that types the code and presses Enter).
- For QR and barcode scanning by camera you need a device with a webcam or built-in camera, and the browser must be allowed to use it.
- To start a table by card, the card must be bound to that table (see below). Member cards are recognised without any binding.
Turning On Scanning
- Open Settings and stay on the System tab.
- Under Hardware Peripherals, switch on Card Reader / Barcode Scanner to accept RFID readers and barcode scanners on the operations page.
- Switch on QR Code / Barcode Camera to scan QR codes and barcodes with the camera on the operations page.
- The change saves straight away. Return to the operations page.
When at least one of the two is on, an orange Scan button appears on the operations page. When both are off, the button is hidden.

Binding an RFID Card to a Table
- Go to Settings > Tables and open the table you want to edit.
- In RFID Card Binding (Optional), enter the card ID, for example "card-001", or tap the card on the reader while the field is selected.
- Save the table.
The RFID Card Binding (Optional) field only shows when Card Reader / Barcode Scanner is on for that centre. Each card should be bound to one table only.
Starting or Opening a Table by Scan
- On the operations page, press the orange Scan button. The Scan window opens.
- Tap a card or scan a barcode into the Scan card or barcode... box, or hold a QR code or barcode inside the green frame on the camera picture.
- If the camera picture is back to front, press the mirror button in the top right corner of the picture.
- Snooker King finds the table and acts on it:
- A free table pops up as its own table card, dimmed in front of the page. Press Count with the up arrow (countup) or Count with the down arrow (countdown) on the card to start the game, just as you would on the operations grid.
- A table that is already running, checked out or waiting for payment opens its game or split bill window, so you can add items or take payment.
- An F&B table opens its F&B order window.
- A table under maintenance or inactive shows a message and does not start.
To close the dimmed table card without doing anything, click outside it or press Esc.
Scanning a Member Card
If the code is not bound to a table, Snooker King checks whether it is a member card, including the QR code from Show My Card in the member portal.

If a different member is already on the table or sale, you are asked to confirm, and press Replace to swap them or Cancel to keep the current one. If the code matches neither a table nor a member, the Card Not Found window says the card is not registered to any table or member at this centre.
Opening Table History
- On the operations page, find the table card.
- Press the History button (the clock icon) on the card. On snooker table cards it sits on the top right pocket.
- The window opens with the table name and "History" in the title, showing today's records.
The same History button is on rental property cards and F&B cards.
Filtering Table History
Use the filter row at the top of the window.
- Day filter: Today, Yesterday, Last 3 Days, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, This Week, This Month, Last Week, Last Month, Custom (pick a start and end date and time) or All Time.
- Type filter: choose which kind of record to list. The choices depend on the card.
- Employee filter: All Employees or one staff member.
- Payment filter: All Payment Methods, Cash, Card, E-Wallet, Bank, Credit or Tokens.
- Search...: type to narrow the list further.

Slip covers both transaction slips (paid by credit, points or tokens) and redemption slips (stamps or points redeemed).
Reading the History List

Click a green document number to open that invoice, receipt or slip. It shows "Generating..." for a moment while the document is prepared. The footer shows the period, the number of records and the Total of the rows listed. Press Close to leave.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why Is There No Scan Button on My Operations Page?
Both Card Reader / Barcode Scanner and QR Code / Barcode Camera are off for the selected centre. Switch one on in Settings > System under Hardware Peripherals.
Why Does My Card Show Card Not Found?
The card is not bound to any table in RFID Card Binding (Optional) and is not a member card at this centre. Bind it to a table in Settings > Tables, or check the member's card in their profile.
Can I Use a Phone or Tablet Camera Instead of a Reader?
Yes. Switch on QR Code / Barcode Camera and allow the browser to use the camera. Use the mirror button if the picture is reversed.
Can Table History Show Rental Deposits?
Yes. Open History from a rental property card and choose Deposit Slip or Refund Receipt as the type.
Does the Total in Table History Match My Revenue Report?
The Total only adds up the rows listed with your current filters for that one table. Use Revenues for centre-wide figures.
