Tournaments

Tournaments in Snooker King let your centre run snooker, 9-ball and 8-ball competitions from start to finish. You create the event with its format, match length, schedule and fees, accept registrations and walk-ins, seed the players, assign tables, and run the bracket live while each player's food and drink tab stays open beside it. A public bracket link lets players and fans follow the results. Tournaments are used by managers and tournament directors.

Before You Start

• Open the tournament console from the trophy button on the Operations page (Tournaments (T)) or press the T key. The button is shown only when tournaments are enabled for your centre and your role may run them.

Creating a Tournament

1. In the console, press Create Tournament.
2. Optionally add a Cover image (JPG, PNG or WebP, 16:9 looks best).
3. Fill in the Basics, Schedule, Contact and Money sections described below.
4. Press Create as Draft. The tournament is saved but not yet visible to members.

Basics

Schedule

Set Registration opens, Registration closes, Check-in opens and Tournament starts. All are optional; leave them blank to keep registration open until you start the bracket yourself. Tick Auto-book the table on assign to reserve a table automatically when a match is assigned to it.

Contact

Add the Person in charge, Contact number, WhatsApp number and Email. Members see these on the tournament page and can tap to call or open WhatsApp. Enter numbers with the country code, for example +60.

Money

Every money option is optional and independent:

• Collect an entry / joining fee, with the Entry fee amount and How members can pay (Online, Store credit, Cash).
• Track a prize pool & payouts, with Prize mode (Fixed amounts or % of the collected pool) and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place amounts.
• Auto-refund entry fees to store credit when a player withdraws or the event is cancelled, up to the Refund cutoff.

Once the tournament exists, its Money tab also offers Collect the entry fee at the end, on the player's tab, Charge a loser charge (an amount per match lost) and Tournament table rate (a percentage off table time).

Registering Players

1. Press Publish on the draft. The tournament is announced to members across the Snooker King network, who can register from the member portal.
2. Open Participants. Press Confirm Entry to approve a registration, and Mark Paid when you collect the entry fee in person.
3. To add someone at the counter, use Add a player and press Add Walk-In.
4. Use Seed players to set the draw before starting.

At least two confirmed participants are needed to start.

Running the Event

1. Under Tables for this tournament, choose the tables and press Save Tables.
2. The Bracket shows every match. For a single elimination event that has not played any match yet, Redraw as a Tree redraws it as a bracket tree.
3. Standings show the table of results for formats that use them.
4. Player Tabs let you put drinks and snacks against a player's name. Charging a tab opens the normal till with the items and player already filled in.
5. Under Public bracket link, press Create Public Link to share the bracket with players and on social media.
6. Use Stop Table to stop one table, and End Event and Stop All Tables when the tournament is over.
7. When prizes are tracked, press Mark Paid beside each place as you pay the winner.

Battles and Live Scoring

Members can also play one-to-one Battles from the member portal, with frame scoring. A table hosting a broadcast battle shows a LIVE badge on the Operations page. See The Member Portal and Battles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Save a Tournament Before It Is Ready?

Yes. Press Create as Draft and Publish later. Members do not see a draft.

Can Walk-In Players Join on the Day?

Yes. Open Participants and use Add Walk-In.

How Do Spectators Follow the Results?

Share the Public bracket link created with Create Public Link.

Which Formats Are Supported?

Single elimination, double elimination, round robin, Swiss system, and group stage followed by knockout.

Can Entry Fees Be Refunded Automatically?

Yes. Turn on Auto-refund entry fees to store credit and set a Refund cutoff. Otherwise you refund manually.
