Countdown Package Availability and Included Items

Countdown package availability and included items in Snooker King let you build time-limited offers. An availability window limits a package to certain days of the week and a time range, for example weekdays from 11:00 to 16:00, so staff can only sell it during that window. Included items add free drinks or other items to the package price, for example "1 hour of pool plus 2 drinks for RM 30", with staff choosing the drinks at the till. It is used by owners and managers who design promotions, and by operators who sell them. Creating a basic package is covered in Countdown Games and Packages.

Before You Start

• You need an owner account, or a manager account that can open Settings > Count Down Packages.
• The items you want to include must already exist and be active in your Point of Sale items. See Point of Sale and Food and Beverage.
• Make sure the centre's Time Zone is set correctly under Settings > System. Windows are checked against the centre's own clock.

Setting an Availability Window

1. Open Settings > Count Down Packages.
2. Press Add Package, or edit an existing package.
3. Find When Is It Available. It starts at Any day, any time (default).
4. Change it to Only on certain days or times.
5. Under Days, tick the days the package is offered: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun. Leave every day unticked to mean every day.
6. Set From and To times. Leave both empty to mean all day.
7. Read the summary line under the fields, for example "Available Mondays, Tuesdays, 11:00 to 16:00. Outside that it is not offered at the till."
8. Press Save.

Overnight Windows

A window that ends before it starts runs overnight. For example, From 22:00 To 06:00 offers a late-night package from 10 pm until 6 am the next morning.

How the Window Works

• The window decides only whether the package is offered when a game starts. Outside the window it does not appear in the package list.
• A game started inside the window keeps the package for its full length. A customer who starts a one-hour package at 15:50 is not cut off at 16:00.
• The window never changes the price. The package costs the same whenever it is sold.
• Each package card in Settings > Count Down Packages shows Available now or Not available now with its window, so you can see why a package is missing from the till.

Including Free Items in a Package

1. Open Settings > Count Down Packages and add or edit a package.
2. Find Included Items and change it from Nothing included: default to Include items in this package price.
3. In How Many Are Included, enter the number of items the customer gets (1 to 50).
4. Under Which Items Can Be Chosen, search for and tick the items. Tick one item for a fixed offer, or several to let staff choose at the till.
5. Optionally, under Or Whole Categories, tick a category. Everything active in a ticked category counts, so a new drink added later is part of the offer without editing the package.
6. Press Save.

The package card then shows a line such as "Includes 2: Coca Cola, Iced Lemon Tea".

What the Customer Pays

• The items go on the bill at no charge.
• Stock still comes off for each item, the same as a normal sale.
• The package price is what the customer pays whether or not they take the items.

Selling a Package With Included Items

1. On the Operations page, press Count with the down arrow on a READY table.
2. In the Packages tab, click the package. An Included with this package list appears under it.
3. Use + and - beside each item to choose what the customer wants, up to the included number. If the package includes only one item, it is chosen for you.
4. Until all the included items are chosen, the confirm button reads, for example, "Choose 2 more". When they are all chosen it changes to Add Package.
5. Press Add Package. The game starts and the free items are added to the bill.

If a package is removed from the bill before it is paid, its free item lines are removed with it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Is a Package Missing From the Till?

It is probably outside its availability window, or it is Inactive, or it is not offered on that table. Check the package card in Settings > Count Down Packages, which shows Not available now when the window is closed.

Does a Package Stop Halfway Through if the Window Closes?

No. The window only matters when the game starts. A game started inside the window keeps the package for its full time.

Can Staff Change Which Free Drink the Customer Gets?

Yes, if you ticked several items or a category. Staff choose with + and - before pressing Add Package.

Do Free Items Reduce Stock?

Yes. They go on the bill at no charge but are taken off stock like any other sale.
