Ask AI
Ask AI in AISERVA is a private chat assistant answered by the AI model on your own VYROX AI server. You can ask questions, draft emails and notes, summarise text you paste in, or attach an image and ask about it. It is the centre AI button in the bottom bar and is used by everyone on the portal for everyday AI help.
Before You Start
- A server with a chat model is Connected and a chat model is Active. See Manage AI Models.
Start a Conversation
- Press AI in the bottom bar. The screen reads "How can I help?" and "Ask anything, or attach an image - answered privately by your own VYROX AI server."
- Type your message in Message VYROX AI.
- To add a picture, press the + button (Attach Image) before you send. You can remove it again with the small cross on the preview.
- Press the send arrow. The answer appears below it.
- Keep typing to continue the same conversation. Ask AI takes only the most recent messages of that chat into account, so very old parts of a long chat may be forgotten.
Manage Your Chats
- Press the list icon (Chat History) at the top to open Chats, where your conversations are listed. Open one to continue it.
- Press + New Chat in that list, or the pencil icon (New Chat) at the top, to start a fresh conversation.
- If you have none yet, the list says "No chats yet - your conversations will appear here."
- To delete a chat, press its bin icon (Delete Chat) in the list and confirm "Delete ...? This cannot be undone."

Where Your Chats Go
Your message travels over the encrypted connection to your own server, where the model reads it and writes the answer. The text of your chats is saved to your AISERVA account so you can see it from any device. An attached image is sent to your server for reading but is never stored; the chat only records that an image was attached. See Account, Notifications and Privacy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Ask AI the Same as a ChatBot?
No. Ask AI is your general assistant. A ChatBot is an assistant you build with its own personality and documents, and you can share it. See ChatBots and Knowledge Bases.
What If My Server Is Off?
Ask AI cannot answer until the server reconnects. Nothing is sent to an outside AI service instead.
Why Is Ask AI Slow?
Answer speed depends on your server's hardware and the size of the active chat model.
