GuluStock Troubleshooting and FAQ
This page in the GuluStock guides answers the questions users of GuluStock, the Bursa Malaysia paper-trading research platform by VYROX, ask most often, and helps you solve common sign-in and display problems yourself.
Sign-In Problems
| Problem | What to Do |
|---|---|
| "Your account is pending admin approval." | Wait for the administrator to approve your new account. |

Display Problems
- A page is missing from the sidebar: the administrator controls which pages each client sees. Ask for access.
- A column is missing: press Columns on the Analysis page (or on the lane row of the Trades page) and tick it. Some columns only exist on certain tables, such as Merit on the watchlist and Entry Recorded and Status on Buy.
- Last Price shows a dash: live prices are polled for open trades, the watchlist and the top-ranked names only. A dash means the stock is not being polled, not that it did not trade.
- Sell shows n/a: this is correct. GuluStock has no Sell verdict; exits are handled by each paper position's own rules.
- The chart has no live candle today: on Bursa holidays and outside market hours no live candle is drawn.
- The Data page shows a yellow stale banner: only the page's cached summary is late; the data itself is fine.
- Wide tables: tables scroll sideways inside their own box on smaller screens.
- Your column layout reset: layouts are saved in your browser, so a different browser or cleared site data starts fresh.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why Are There No Buy Signals Today?
A Buy appears only when a validated strategy fires. When no strategy triggers, or the market regime is bearish, GuluStock publishes no Buy at all rather than forcing one.
What Is Market-Regime Detection?
GuluStock reads the FBM KLCI on four axes (trend, strength, volatility and breadth) and only allows entries when the environment qualifies.
What Does Walk-Forward and CPCV Validation Mean?
A strategy is tested on data it was not fitted on, re-run across many different train and test splits, checked on a locked recent holdout and graded after trading costs. Most candidates fail and are not allowed to produce signals.
Which Stocks Are Covered?
Bursa Malaysia common stocks that pass the quality filters, currently around 570 counters. Illiquid and penny counters are excluded.
When Do Scans Run?
Twice each trading day, automatically: before the open, and again ahead of the 14:30 afternoon reopen. No scans run on weekends or Bursa trading holidays.
Why Do I Not See Data, Strategies, Backtests or Scorecard?
These pages are enabled by an administrator per account. New client accounts see only Analysis and Trades.
Should I Trade the Levels GuluStock Shows?
GuluStock cannot tell you that. Its levels are research output for learning, not advice. Make your own decisions and speak to a licensed adviser if you need advice.
