Countdown Games and Packages
Countdown games in Snooker King let customers pay for a fixed block of play instead of open-ended time. The table timer counts down from the purchased time and shows TIME UP! when it reaches zero. You can start a countdown from a ready-made package (for example "1 Hour Snooker"), from an amount the customer wants to spend, or from a length of time the customer asks for. It is used by centres that sell prepaid hours, promotions or self-service play.
Before You Start
- The table type must offer Count Down (fixed length session or package). See Tables, Table Types and Game Rates.
- You need an owner account, or a manager account with Count Down Packages ticked under Setting Permissions, to create packages.
Creating a Countdown Package
- Open Settings > Count Down Packages.
- Press Add Package. The Add Countdown Package window opens.
- Fill in the fields below and press Save.

Starting a Countdown Game
- On the Operations page, press Count with the down arrow on a READY table.
- The Select Countdown Package window opens, headed with the table name.
- Choose a tab and make your selection, as shown below. For By Budget and By Duration, press Calculate to see the price breakdown.
- Press Add Package. The timer counts down and the table light turns on.

If a package includes free items, Add Package reads Choose N More until you pick the included items.
Hiding the By Budget Tab
If your centre never sells play by amount, you can remove the By Budget tab so staff cannot pick it by mistake. Go to Centers, edit the centre and untick Offer the By Budget Option When Starting a Count-Down Table. Packages and By Duration are not affected, and any budget game already running carries on.
When Time Runs Out
When the countdown reaches zero the tile shows TIME UP!.
- To sell more time, press Package on the tile. The same package window opens with Packages, By Budget and By Duration tabs; choose the extra time and press Add Package.
- To finish, click the table and press End Game, then take payment.
- The Light Off button appears so you can switch the lamp off while you speak to the customer.
Self-Service Starts With a Card
Centres that use RFID cards or scanners can start tables quickly: scan the member's card at Scan To Start, Select Package, then press Start Table. Card scanning must be enabled under Settings > System > Hardware Peripherals.

What Happens When a Countdown Reaches Zero?
The tile shows TIME UP! and a Light Off link. Staff then either add more time with Package or end the game and take payment.
Can a Package Be Limited to VIP Tables?
Yes. Set Table Selection Mode to Selective Tables Only and choose the tables.
Can Members Get a Discount on Packages?
Yes, their membership discount applies unless Exclude from Member Discounts is ticked on the package.
What Is the Difference Between By Budget and By Duration?
By Budget turns an amount of money into playing time. By Duration turns a length of time into a price. Both use the current table rate.
