Tables, Table Types and Game Rates

Tables and game rates in Snooker King define what appears on the Operations floor and how much a count-up game costs. You create table types (for example Snooker or Pool), group tables into zones, link each table to its light, and then set hourly rates by table, table type or the whole centre, with different rates for weekdays, weekends, holidays and time bands. It is used by managers when opening a centre or changing prices.
Before You Start
You need an owner account, or a manager account with Table and Count Up Games ticked under Setting Permissions on the employee record.
If you have lighting boards, add them first under Settings > Lighting Control so you can link each table to its channel. See Table Lighting and the Live Monitor.
Adding a Table Type
Open Settings and choose the Tables tab.
In Table Types, press Add Type.
Enter the Type Name, for example Snooker or Pool.
Choose a Theme (such as Snooker Rectangle or Pool Rectangle) and the Label Color, Edge Color and Surface Color used on the floor plan.
Under Game Modes Offered on These Tables, tick Count Up (open ended, billed by time played), Count Down (fixed length session or package), or both. Unticked modes are hidden on those tables.
Choose the QR Code Mode for the table QR code.
Set the Free Period and Min Charge for this type, then save.
Adding Zones and Tables
In Zones, press Add Zone to create areas such as Main Hall or VIP Room.
In Tables, press Add Table.
Enter the Table Name and choose the Table Type, Zone and Colour.
Choose the Lighting Device and Lighting Channel that switch this table's light, or No Lighting Device.
Choose a Printer if orders from this table print to a specific printer.
Optionally set Minimum Charge On Move Onto This Table.
Set Status to Active, Inactive or Maintenance, then save.
Charging Settings
Open Settings > Count Up Games. The Charging Settings section applies to every count-up game.

Adding a Rate
In Settings > Count Up Games, go to Rate Settings.
Pick a table in Select Table, then press Add Rate.
Choose the Rate Type (see the table below).
Enter From Time and To Time.
Enter the Hourly Rate (Default).
Optionally tick Enable Duration Tiers and press + Add Tier to charge a different rate after a certain playing time (From, To and Rate for each tier).
Tick Also apply to other tables to copy the rate to other tables in one step.
Save.

How Rates Are Applied
When several rates cover the current time, Snooker King chooses one rate in three steps. This matches the How Rates Are Applied explainer on the tab.
Rate type priority. Only rates whose time window covers the current time are considered. The most specific rate type wins, in this order: Specific Date, then Holidays and Holiday Eves, then the single weekday (Monday to Sunday), then All Weekdays (Mon-Fri) and All Weekends (Sat-Sun), then Table Default, then Table Type Default, then Center Default.
Scope tiebreaker. If two matching rates have the same priority, a rate set for this table beats one set for its table type, which beats one set for the whole centre.
Highest rate. Only if the priority and scope are both equal does the higher hourly rate win.
For example, a table has a Table Default of RM 12.00 and the centre has an All Weekends (Sat-Sun) rate of RM 15.00. On Saturday the weekend rate applies, because its rate type has higher priority, even though it was set for the centre. Duration tiers, if enabled, are then applied from the winning rate according to the Tier Mode.
Holidays
In Settings > Count Up Games, open Holiday Management and press Add Holiday.
Enter the Holiday Name and Holiday Date.
Tick Recurring Annually for fixed-date holidays such as Merdeka Day.
Save. Holidays and Holiday Eves rates now apply on those dates.
Other Table Settings
Minimum Charge on a Table Move: an amount in RM that applies when a customer moves onto another table after the free period. 0.00 means a move adds nothing. It appears only when table moves (table hop) are switched on for your centre under Table Features. Each table can also have its own Minimum Charge On Move Onto This Table.
Game Charge Reminder with Remind After: when a stopped game is put on a running tab and is still unpaid after this many hours, every operator on the Operations page sees a full-screen reminder. Leave it blank for the standard 3 hours.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is There a Per-Minute Rate?
Rates are entered as an hourly rate. Snooker King charges the actual time played at that hourly rate, subject to the free period and minimum charge.
Two Rates Overlap. Which One Is Charged?
The rate with the more specific rate type wins first, then the narrower scope (table, then table type, then centre). The highest hourly rate wins only when both of those are equal. See How Rates Are Applied above.
