Snooker King · Snooker King: Complete Operator Manual
The Service Tax Working Paper in Snooker King gives your tax agent the figures needed to prepare a Malaysian SST-02 return, and checks them against the service tax account in your accounting software. The organisation's Currency, Rounding, Partial Payment and Payment Gateway tabs control how amounts are shown and rounded, whether a bill may be part-paid or left for later, and how the Fiuu online payment gateway is connected. These screens are used by owners, finance staff and accountants.
Service tax is charged when money is received, not when the bill is raised. A bill raised in one period and paid in the next belongs to the period it was paid in. The working paper is not filed for you; it is a working paper for your tax agent.
| Section | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Registration | Your registration number, registered from date and taxable period (Monthly or Two Monthly), or a clear notice that you are not registered |
| Part B1: Value of Taxable Services by Service Type Code | One row per service type code and rate, with Value of Service and Tax, as MySST needs |
| Part B2: Totals by Rate | Value of service and tax added up per rate |
| Item 13a: Deductions for Refunds and Credit Notes | Refunds paid in this period against taxable services, with Value Refunded and Tax Deducted |
| Part D Item 18c: Exempted Taxable Services | Value of exempted taxable services, less exempted value refunded in the period |
| Totals | Value of taxable services, service tax on that value, less tax on refunds, and Service Tax Payable for This Period |
| What Is Deliberately Outside the Taxable Value | Service charge, goods sold, revenue not classified as a taxable service, bills still unpaid, and rounding |
| Reconciliation Against Your Service Tax Account | Tax on the working paper (payment basis) against the tax account in your accounting software (accrual basis), with the Difference and the reasons for it |
| Registration Threshold Monitor | For each group, your values on the historical method (rolling 12 months) and the future method (next 12 months) against the registration threshold |
A refund reduces the value in the period it is paid, never in the period of the original sale.
On its own, no. Snooker, pool and billiards are not a named taxable service, so a club that only rents tables provides nothing taxable. Table time can still become taxable if a public house or beer house liquor licence brings the premises into Group C, or through a registered food and beverage operation under Group B. Group K rental from 1 January 2026 is a third, unsettled possibility. Which applies is your tax agent's decision. Nothing is treated as taxable until you say so in Service Tax Settings.
Under What Counts as a Taxable Service, add a rule for each part of your revenue your tax agent says is taxable. The most specific rule wins: a rule on a single item beats a rule on its account, and a rule on an account beats a rule on the revenue type.
| Field | What It Means | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Applies To | Revenue Type, Account or Single Item | Account |
| Treatment | Not a Taxable Service, Taxable, Exempt Taxable Service or Goods | Taxable |
| Group | The service tax group, or None | C |
| Service Type Code | The RMCD service type code. Required for a taxable rule, because Part B1 is filed by that code | From your tax agent |
| Rate Percent | The service tax rate | 8 |
| In Force From | The date the rule takes effect | 2026-01-01 |
| What You Call This | Your own name for the rule | Bar drinks |
Press Save Rule. Saving a new rule for something that already has one does not overwrite it: the old rule closes the day before the new one starts, so a return you have already filed is never restated.
| Field | What It Means | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Currency Code | The currency, chosen from a searchable list | MYR |
| Currency Symbol | The symbol printed with amounts | RM |
| Display As | Symbol or Code | Symbol |
| Symbol Placement | Before Amount or After Amount | Before Amount |
| Decimal Places | 0 to 3 | 2 |
| Use Thousands Separator | Yes or No | Yes |
| Rounding Precision | The step the grand total is rounded to, from No Rounding up to 100.00 | 0.05 |
For Malaysian centres, a Rounding Precision of 0.05 matches cash rounding to the nearest 5 sen.
The Rounding tab decides which payment methods apply the rounding adjustment. Unticked methods show the exact amount. The precision itself is set on the Currency tab.
| Option | What It Covers |
|---|---|
| Cash | Physical currency |
| Card | Credit and debit card |
| e-Wallet | Mobile wallet payment |
| Bank Transfer | Online bank transfer |
| Credits | Member account credits |
Leave both on Automatic (blank) unless you have been asked to change them. Automatic follows the number of decimals your currency uses.
| Field | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Absorb Small Differences up To | When a bill's lines add up to slightly less than the bill, a difference this size or smaller is tidied onto a line as rounding. A larger difference is shown as its own labelled line |
| Allow Invoice Edits When Lines Differ by up To | When lines on a bill are edited, the bill is re-added and checked against its totals. A difference this size or smaller is accepted; a larger one is refused so a wrong amount cannot be saved |
When partial payment is on for a transaction type, the operator can enter a pay amount less than the grand total, and an outstanding invoice is created for the balance.
| Option | What It Allows |
|---|---|
| Count Up | Part-payment of hourly or open-ended table sessions |
| Count Down | Part-payment of package-based timed sessions |
| Count Up - Pay Later | Free the table with the count up bill left outstanding. It shows under Receivables to settle later |
| Count Down - Pay Later | Close an unpaid count down and free the table, recording an outstanding invoice |
| Point of Sale | Part-payment of standalone POS transactions |
| Food & Beverages | Part-payment of F&B orders |
The Payment Gateway tab connects Fiuu for card, FPX, e-wallet (TNG, Boost, GrabPay, ShopeePay) and DuitNow QR payments. Fiuu has three independent features. Fill in only the ones you use.
| Field | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Merchant ID | Your Fiuu merchant account ID, shared by all three Fiuu features |
| Integration Environment | Sandbox (Testing) for practice with no real money, or Production (Live) for real customers |
| Integration Verify Key | From the Fiuu Merchant Portal under API Credentials |
| Integration Secret Key | From the same place |
Press Test Credentials. In the Fiuu portal, also switch on Instant Payment Notification on the end points and activate the payment channels you want; only activated channels appear at checkout.
This powers Scan Customer's QR, where your cashier scans the QR shown in the customer's e-wallet app. Enter the Store Application Code and Store Secret Key from Store Management in the Fiuu portal, then press Test Connection. If the test reports 40104, the credentials are correct but a channel (such as DuitNow QR) still needs activating in the portal.
This powers Process via Fiuu VT+ App, charging a card on a physical Fiuu VT+ terminal. It reuses the Merchant ID and environment from the Online Checkout section.
| Field | What It Means |
|---|---|
| cloudECR Account ID | The account ID issued when you create an API account for POS under cloudECR in the Fiuu portal |
| Device / Virtual Terminal ID | The unique ID of the terminal bound to that account |
| Password | The permanent password you set for the account |
| cloudECR Secret Key | The secret key shown on the cloudECR page |
| Signature Mode | Sort by Parameter Name (Default) or Fixed Parameter Order. Leave the default unless Fiuu tells you otherwise |
Press Test Connection. It should report the connected VT+ device.
No. The Service Tax Working Paper gives your tax agent the figures for the return and the reconciliation. Filing is done by you or your agent in MySST.
The working paper uses the payment basis, when money is received, while your accounting software's tax account is on the accrual basis. The reconciliation section lists the reasons for the difference; anything it cannot explain is worth checking.
Either your organisation is recorded as not registered for the period, or no rule marks any revenue as taxable. For a club that only rents tables, that is usually correct.
Rounding applies only to the methods ticked on the Rounding tab, at the precision set on the Currency tab.
Partial payment is off for that transaction type. Tick it on the Partial Payment tab.
Check that Enable Fiuu Payment Gateway is ticked, the credentials pass the test, Fiuu is ticked on the Payment Methods tab, and the channels are activated in the Fiuu portal.
