Running Tables on the Operations Page

VYROX Wiki · Updated 23 September 2026 · https://www.vyrox.com/wiki/snookerking-running-tables

The Operations page in Snooker King is the live floor plan of your centre. Each table appears as a tile showing its status and timer, with buttons to start a count-up or countdown game, add food and drinks, switch the light and move the game. Clicking a busy table opens the game window where you add rounds, pause, end the game and take payment. It is used by operators and cashiers throughout every shift.

Before You Start

  • Tables and rates must be set up. See Tables, Table Types and Game Rates.
  • Choose your centre with Select Center at the top of the page if your account covers more than one centre.

The Operations Page

  • Filters: Select Client, Select Organization, Select Center, All Table Types and All Table Status (Available or Occupied).
  • Plan switches to the floor-plan view; Edit lets you drag and rotate tables to match your room.
  • Header icons: Running Tabs, Add New Member, Tournaments (T), Bookings (B) and Toggle Sound Effects.
  • Each tile has four corner icons: History (past bills on this table), QR Code (the table ordering QR), Proforma (a preview of the current bill) and Bookings.

Starting a Count-Up Game

A count-up game is open-ended: the timer counts up and the customer pays for the time played.

  1. Find a table showing READY.
  2. Press Count with the up arrow on the tile.
  3. The timer starts, the table light turns on and, with sound effects on, Snooker King announces "Count Up Started!".

If the table has a booking coming up, Snooker King shows the booking check-in first.

For fixed-length games, press Count with the down arrow instead. See Countdown Games and Packages.

The Game Window

Click a busy table to open the Split-Bill Game window. It has two tabs, Items and Invoices, with sections for Proforma Invoice, Game Rounds, Game Information, Customer Information and the POS Items Pool.

Rounds

  1. Under Game Rounds, type the player's name in the box.
  2. Press Add Round Note & Start Next Round. The previous round closes and a new one starts.
  3. Rounds let you bill each group of players separately later.

Note

Pause Game, Auto Stop, running tabs, Pay Later and moving a game after the free period are optional table features. They are off by default and switched on per centre by VYROX under Table Features in Settings > Tables. If you do not see one of these buttons, ask VYROX support to turn it on.

Moving a Game to Another Table

  1. Press Change on the tile, or Change Table in the game window.
  2. Choose the new table under Select a table to move this session to:.
  3. Check the details in Table Change Confirmation and press Confirm Move.

During the free period nothing has been charged yet, so the game simply moves and the customer reads as having always been on the new table.

After the free period, moving is available only for a running count-up game at a centre where table moves (table hop) are switched on. Change Table then closes the game on the old table and opens a new one on the new table: one visit, one bill, two game lines. The Minimum Charge on a Table Move may be added (see Tables, Table Types and Game Rates).

Ending a Game

  1. Open the game window and press End Game.
  2. The Checkout Table window asks End Game Session? and shows the Table, Duration, Customer and Total Amount.
  3. Press Yes, End Game & Checkout. The light turns off and the payment section opens.
  4. Take payment as described in Checkout, Payments and Pay Later.

Tip

Use View Proforma (shortcut P) at any time to show the customer a running bill before they finish. Where Pay Later is switched on, a customer can pay another time; the bill waits under Receivables against the customer's name.

Maintenance and Inactive Tables

Set a table's Status to Maintenance or Inactive in Settings > Tables when it cannot be used. If someone tries to start it, Snooker King asks whether to set it back to available with Yes, Set Available.

Keyboard Shortcuts

On the Operations page, press the down arrow to enter the table grid, then use the arrow keys to move between tables. Enter opens the focused table (or the POS if none is focused), Esc clears the focus, B opens Bookings, T opens Tournaments and 1 to 9 open a table by its position (not while card scan mode is on).

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Transfer a Game After the Free Period?

Only for a running count-up game, and only if your centre has table moves switched on. Open the game window and press Change Table; the old table's time is billed as its own game line on the same bill.

What Happens to a Paused Game?

The timer stops, the tile shows a PAUSED badge and paused time is not charged. The Light Off button appears so you can switch off the lamp while the table waits.

A Customer Ended by Mistake. Can I Continue the Game?

Yes. Open the table and press Reopen Game. Whether the gap is charged depends on Charge Idle Time When Reopening an Ended Game.

How Do I See Past Bills for a Table?

Press the History icon in the corner of the tile.
