Member Self-Registration With Email Verification

VYROX Wiki · Updated 23 September 2026 · https://www.vyrox.com/wiki/snookerking-member-self-registration

Member self-registration in Snooker King lets customers create their own member account on their phone, without staff typing in their details. The customer scans the centre's QR code, enters their name and email address, confirms the address with a 4-digit verification code sent by email, adds their mobile number and a password, and is signed straight in to the member portal. It is used by customers joining a centre, and by front-desk staff and managers who set it up and help customers at the counter. Registering a member from the console is covered in Members and Membership Plans.

Before You Start

  • Your organisation needs a free membership plan marked as the Default plan in the membership plans list. New self-registered members join on that plan. Without one, customers see "Self-registration is not enabled for this organization yet. Please contact the center directly to request membership."
  • Print and display the centre's Member Portal QR Code (see Centre and Organisation Setup), or hand out printed membership cards marked "Scan to join".
  • Customers need an email address they can open on the spot, and a mobile number.

Registering Through a Centre's QR Code

These are the steps the customer follows. Staff can walk them through it at the counter.

  1. Scan the centre's QR code with the phone camera. The centre's sign-in page opens.
  2. Choose the Register tab.
  3. Enter the Full Name and Email Address. Snooker King checks the address and shows "Email is available".
  4. Press Send Verification Code. The message "Verification code has been sent" appears.
  5. Open the email, then type the 4-digit code into Enter 4-digit Verification Code.
  6. Press Verify. The message "Email address verified!" appears.
  7. Enter the Mobile Number. The country code is set for the centre's country, +60 for Malaysia.
  8. Press Next.
  9. Enter a Password of at least 8 characters, and the same again in Confirm Password.
  10. Press Register. The customer is signed in and the member portal opens with their new membership.

Registering Without a Centre

A customer can also create an account from the general sign-in page, without a centre's QR code. The account is then a Snooker King user with no centre yet; they join a centre later by scanning its QR code.

  1. On the sign-in page, choose the Register tab.
  2. Enter the Email Address. Once the address is accepted, Password (min 8 chars) and Confirm Password appear. Fill them in.
  3. Press Send Verification Code, enter the code and press Verify Code.
  4. Enter the Full Name and Mobile Number.
  5. Press Register.

The Verification Code

RuleDetail
Length4 digits
Valid for10 minutes from sending
ResendingUse "Didn't get the code? Send again" (or "Resend" on the general page)
Sending limitA small number of codes per email address in a short period. If the limit is reached, the customer sees a message and can try again a few minutes later.

Tip

Most "I never got the code" problems are a typing mistake in the address or an email filed as junk. Ask the customer to check the junk or spam folder first. If Snooker King does not recognise the mail provider in the address, it suggests a correction; tap it, or press Send Verification Code again to use the address as typed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Is the Verification Code Valid?

10 minutes. After that, the customer requests a new code with "Didn't get the code? Send again".

Can a Customer Register Without an Email Address?

Not by self-registration, because the email address is verified with a code. Staff can register the member from the console instead.

The Customer Is Already a Member Somewhere Else. Do They Register Again?

No. They sign in with their existing account through this centre's QR code, and Snooker King links the account to this centre.

Why Does Registration Say It Is Not Enabled?

The organisation has no free default membership plan. Create or restore one, or register the customer from the console.

Is a Mobile Number Required?

Yes. The Register step asks for the mobile number before the account is created.
