The Member Portal and Battles

The member portal in Snooker King is the customer-facing app of a snooker or billiard centre. Members open it on their phone to show their member QR at the counter, top up credit, book tables, start and check out games themselves where the centre allows it, follow their history, score battles against friends, join tournaments and use vouchers. It is used by members, and staff should know it well enough to help customers at the counter.

Joining a Centre

The customer scans the centre's Member Portal QR Code or a printed membership card marked "Scan to join".
They register with their name, email, mobile number and password, and confirm with the verification code they receive.
Their membership appears under Me, with My Member ID shown as a QR code for the counter.

One person can hold memberships with several organisations. Each organisation keeps its own credit and points.

The Five Tabs

Starting a Table by Self-Service

Where the centre allows self-service:

The member presses Scan QR and scans the QR code on the table.
They choose Packages, By Budget (Enter Your Budget) or By Duration (Enter Duration) and press Calculate.
If their Credit Balance is too low, they press Top Up first.
They press Start Table. The game starts on the Operations page.
To finish, they confirm End Game Session? and Confirm Table Checkout, and can press Download Slip.

Bookings and Tournaments

Members book tables from the Bookings tile, within the centre's booking rules, and see them under Upcoming Bookings. They can register for published tournaments from the Tournaments tile.

Battles

Battles lets two players score a match on their phones.

Start a match with Start Battle, and follow others under Live and History.
Levels: Practice, Match and Tournament.
Scoring buttons include Pot, Foul, Miss, Safety, End Frame and End Match.
Other sections: Drills, Hall of Fame and About.
Settings include Sound Theme, Voice Pack, Accessibility Division and Color-Blind Palette.

Vouchers, Games and Marketplace

Vouchers lets members save vouchers under My Vouchers and, where allowed, create and run their own voucher campaigns. See Member Vouchers.
Games lists social games under Available and My Games.
Marketplace lets members Browse listings from other members and manage My Listings for their own gear. Deals are made between members.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Members See Their Credit Balance?

Yes, if Show Credit Balance to Customers is turned on under Settings > Loyalty.

Can a Member Leave an Organisation?

Yes. The Me tab explains Leaving an Organization and what stays with each organisation.

Can Members Mute the Sounds?

Yes. Under Me, in Preferences, they can turn Sound off.

Is Table QR Ordering the Same as the Portal?

No. Customers can order food from the table QR code without joining as a member. The portal is for members.
