Asphalt Plant

VYROX Wiki · Updated 23 September 2026 · https://www.vyrox.com/wiki/aikuari-asphalt-plant

The Asphalt Plant screen in VYROX Quarry (AIKuari) tracks burner fuel per tonne, checks mix discharge temperature against its window, and watches baghouse pressure drop. A drying energy card shows what cold-feed moisture costs in fuel and CO2, and recommendation cards explain what to change. Asphalt plant managers and operators use it every production day.

Note

This guide is based on the AIKuari (VYROX Quarry) demo, which runs on sample data for a fictional company, Demo Quarry Sdn Bhd. Every figure shown is a sample value, not a measured result or a guarantee. Screens, labels, limits and menus may differ in a live deployment, depending on how VYROX sets up your sites and your role.

The product also describes monitoring of the drum shell hottest point and lab results per lot; these are not shown on the demo screen. Your own limits are set on the Limits page.

Drying Energy

The Drying Energy · Models Page Factors card shows three tiles: Drying Energy (kWh per tonne), Burner Fuel (litres per tonne) and CO₂ (kg per tonne).

In the demo, the Cold-Feed Moisture slider lets you see how moisture changes these figures. The demo model uses these sample factors:

  • Drying energy rises 6.86 kWh per tonne for each extra 1 % of moisture (75 kWh/t at 3 %).
  • Fuel at 9.94 kWh per litre, and CO₂ at 2.68 kg per litre.

Recommended Actions

The Recommended Actions card suggests fixes with the reason for each, for example:

  • Draw from the Covered Pile when the open pile is wet and a drier pile exists.
  • Lower the Discharge Setpoint when the mix leaves hotter than the haul needs.

Once both are applied, the card shows Both Fixes Applied.

Tip

Read the reason before acting. The operator decides, and any change is made on the plant's own controls.

Ask AI

Ask "Which plant used the most fuel per tonne today?" or "Why did fuel per tonne rise at Plant A1 today?". The answer shows the drivers, such as cold-feed moisture and mix temperature, and how they were worked out.

Devices Used

Aggregate Moisture Probe (VX-MP100), Probe Temperature Sensor (VX-TP200), Thermal Camera (VX-TC200), Radar Level Sensor (VX-RL410) and Clamp Energy Meter (VX-CT100).

Frequently Asked Questions

How Is Fuel per Tonne Calculated?

Burner fuel used divided by tonnes of mix produced, plant by plant.

Does It Work for Drum Plants?

The demo company runs both batch and drum plants. The 3D Digital Twin covers batch plants today, with drum plants next.

Are the Factors Fixed?

No. The factors used in calculations are kept on the Factors page and are set with VYROX for your plant.
