Alarms in VYROX Quarry (AIKuari) tell a person when a reading crosses a warning or alarm limit, when a trend is projected to reach its limit, or when a rule fires. Each alarm appears as a banner and in the alarm list, and a person acknowledges it with an optional note. Control rooms, plant managers and engineers work the alarm list every shift.

Note

This guide is based on the AIKuari (VYROX Quarry) demo, which runs on sample data for a fictional company, Demo Quarry Sdn Bhd. Every figure shown is a sample value, not a measured result or a guarantee. Screens, labels, limits and menus may differ in a live deployment, depending on how VYROX sets up your sites and your role.

Severity Levels

The demo shows three severity badges.

A prediction alarm is raised when a trend is projected to reach its alarm limit within 7 days. See Machine Condition and Work Orders.

Where Alarms Appear

  • A banner slides in when a new alarm is raised, showing the severity, site and title. Press the X to dismiss it; it also leaves by itself after a few seconds.
  • The bell button at the top of the screen shows the number of open alarms and opens Alarms.
  • The Alarms item in the sidebar shows the open count.
  • The Open Alarms card on Group View.

How Alarms Behave

The How Alarms Behave card on the Alarms screen sets out the rules:

  • Warning and alarm limits use an ISA-18.2 style deadband: a reading must fall a clear 2 % inside the limit to return.
  • An alarm that returns before anyone acknowledges it stays on the list.
  • A prediction alarm is raised when a trend is projected to reach its limit within 7 days.
  • Every acknowledgement, with its note, goes to the audit log.

Acknowledge an Alarm

  1. Open Alarms from the Operations group, or press the bell button.
  2. Read the alarm: severity, title, site, the time since it was raised, and any detail line.
  3. Optionally type in the Note (Optional) box, for example what you checked or who you sent.
  4. Press Acknowledge. The alarm is marked as acknowledged and the open count drops.

Important

Acknowledging means a person has seen the alarm. It does not fix the cause. For a machine, raise a work order from Machine Condition.

The product also describes alarms for blasts over the limit and for asphalt plant readings; these do not fire in the demo day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Is an Alarm Still Listed After the Reading Went Back to Normal?

An alarm that returns before anyone acknowledges it stays on the list, so nothing is missed.

Where Are the Limits Set?

On the Limits page, set up with VYROX for your site. A limit that is not yet confirmed is marked as unconfirmed on screen.

Does an Alarm Stop the Machine?

No. Nothing in VYROX Quarry stops plant by itself.
