LawServa · LawServa: Legal Practice Manual
Court Filings in LawServa is the register of documents your firm files in court: pleadings, affidavits, applications, written submissions, bundles, notices and appeals. For each filing it records when it was submitted, its e-Filing reference and fee, and what the Registry did with it, so a rejected filing is never mistaken for a filed one. It is used by litigation lawyers, legal assistants and litigation clerks.
You need the permission to view court filings. Court Filings is a tab of Matters under Files. You can also reach a matter's own filings from the matter record, where the register opens already filtered to that file. Follow the Show the whole register link to see every file again.
The register lists each filing with its number, Document, Matter, the diary entry it Answers, its Status and an Action button. By default it shows filings that are Still to Resolve. Use Search, Kind and Status and press Filter to narrow the list, or choose All to see resolved filings as well.
When any filing has been rejected and not put right, a warning at the top of the screen says so. A rejected submission is not filed, so any period running on it is still running.
| Status | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Prepared | The document is ready but has not been submitted |
| Submitted, Awaiting the Registry | It has been lodged and the Registry has not yet decided |
| Accepted by the Registry | The Registry accepted it |
| Rejected by the Registry | The Registry rejected it; it needs to be corrected and submitted again |
| Withdrawn | The firm withdrew it; it stays on the register with the reason |
| Field | What It Means | Example |
|---|---|---|
| What Was Filed | The document, in the words the file uses | Defence and Counterclaim |
| Enclosure Number | The enclosure number given by the court | 12 |
| Suit Number | The case number | WA-22NCC-123-04/2026 |
| Diary Entry This Answers | The deadline this filing meets | Defence due |
| Filing Fee (RM) | The court fee paid | 100.00 |
| e-Filing Reference | The reference from the e-Filing system |
LawServa records a new submission that replaces the rejected one and links the two, so the history of the filing is kept.
While a filing is prepared or submitted, open it, expand Correct the Details, make your changes and press Save Changes.
To withdraw a filing that has not been accepted, open it, expand Withdraw It, enter Why and press Withdraw.
No. Court Filings is a register. You file through the court's own e-Filing system and record what happened here.
The default view shows filings that are still to be resolved. A filing leaves that view once the Registry has accepted it or it has been withdrawn.
Record the decision with the reason, then use Put It Right to record the corrected submission. The warning at the top of the register stays until every rejection has been put right.
